Kara O’Brien is the Head of Offline Marketing at Wayfair, overseeing offline marketing channels (print, audio, and others) for Wayfair and its portfolio of brands. In her eight years at Wayfair, she has also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Joss & Main (one of Wayfair’s specialty brands), responsible for acquisition growth, customer retention, and brand marketing. Prior to that, she was the Head of Global Promotions, where she led promotional and curated merchandising teams to deliver compelling personalized experiences to customers. Before Wayfair, Kara was a management consultant with Oliver Wyman working in retail & consumer technology, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in Art History / Economics from Harvard College. She currently lives just outside Boston with her husband and two children, where they enjoy exploring local hiking trails and breweries.
